NEWS
Investigative Producer: Conceive and generate relevant, compelling investigative news content focused on consumer protection and problem-solving for all KDVR and KWGN broadcast and digital platforms. Research, shoot, write and produce packages in collaboration with reporters, videographers and editors.Contribute unique, distinctive elements to breaking news and major event coverage. Must be proficient in computer-assisted reporting, database analysis, spreadsheet programs and other technology-based information-gathering. Expertise in hidden-camera and other undercover and surveillance procedures and techniques. Familiarity with social media and other digital content distribution and production tools. Minimum of seven years broadcast journalism/television production experience, including at least two years in investigative and/or consumer news. Web Content Manager: FOX31 Denver and Colorado’s Own Channel 2 have an immediate opening for a Web Content Manager.
The ideal candidate is a superb writer and copy editor, a social media expert, and has extensive experience with photo and video editing. This position requires a high volume of news writing and intense multi-tasking. A passion for news, social media and new technology is a must.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of newsroom experience, preferably as a web producer, reporter, newscast producer or assignment manager.
This is not a web design or development position.
Skills & Abilities:
• Understand news gathering and have a desire to break news across multiple platforms
• Responsible for generating original content for web and mobile platforms
• Have a solid understanding of web and mobile metrics
• Possess a strategic actionable plan for building viewers and users for both web and mobile
• Understanding of content management systems and mobile apps
• Must be organized, detail oriented, communicative and capable of completing multiple, complex tasks on a deadline.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in journalism, communications or a related field

CREATIVE SERVICES
Creative Services Producer/Editor: If you live and breathe :10s, :15s, :20s and :30s… know how to tear up a Final Cut timeline with mad skills… and realize that typical topicals are simply wallpaper to most viewers, we definitely want to hear from you.
FOX31 Denver and Colorado’s Own Channel 2 in gorgeous Denver, Colorado have an immediate opening in their highly-creative Promotions Department for a top-tier Promotions Producer.
In this position you’ll be a one-stop shop for all things promo. Write, shoot and edit daily topicals, image and special report promotions. Must be able to work tight and sometimes unrealistic deadlines (we’ve all been there) with minimal direction… and be ready to push creative well beyond the typical.
Required skills: Absolutely MUST have a great attitude and be a strong team player. Strong Writing Skills and Final Cut Pro Studio. (Non-negotiable. You need to start with these skills in your pocket!)
Preferred skills: Camera skills (Canon 5D & Sony EX3), After Effects and Photoshop.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule if/when needed. College degree or equivalent experience essential. ENGINEERING
Master Control Operator: KDVR Fox 31 / KWGN CW2 is looking for an experienced television Master Control Operator to join our team of broadcast professionals. If you have at least two years of experience in television Master Control operations at a commercial television station, we’re interested in talking to you. The ideal candidate has experience with broadcast automation systems (Louth, Crispin, etc.), and has knowledge of applicable FCC rules and regulations governing television broadcasters including transmitter operations, EAS requirements and logging. The successful candidate has demonstrated experience with the following tasks: Commercial broadcast operations including prepping syndicated programming, running commercial breaks during newscasts and high-value network sports programming, and handling weather emergencies in a broadcast facility. This Master Control opening is an hourly position. Our television operations run 24×7, which means the successful candidate will be able to work any of three shifts plus weekends and holidays, and occasional overtime. Do you have what it takes?
