BOULDER, Colo. — After weeks of searching, police nabbed a scaly fugitive in South Boulder.

The police department said they’d been looking for the iguana for about a month.

Officers started looking for the iguana after people reported seeing it roaming in the area.

They finally caught it on Ithaca Drive, near Emerson Avenue.

Police said they don’t know the lizard’s name but they “affectionately named it Iggy.”

Iggy was taken to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. We have called to ask if or when he’ll be up for adoption and will post an update here when we hear back.
